Mountain Bike Shuttle - Lake Mountain

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Lake Mountain is hosting the Vic Enduro Race event along Cascades on Sunday April 6th, 2025, with the practice day on Saturday April 5th. Additional shuttle sessions have been added for the 5th of April to accommodate all riders, as well as the general public. Be sure to book your shuttle session in ahead of time! Drop off locations available at the trail head (top of the resort) or halfway point (at the resort gate entry).

The whole Cascades trail is now OPEN!! We are offering a shuttle service for the 28km trail which has been freshly cleared, from the resort to Marysville. 

Catching the shuttle is a convenient option which not only benefits you as the rider, but also the resort, as a portion of the shuttle fees go directly back into maintaining and creating new features along the trail. 

Pick up is from Marysville (Peppers rear carpark) in a minibus with a Shingleback bike trailer, taking you along the 30-minute journey to the resort, dropping you at the Cascades trail head. 

About Cascades 

Cascades trail is classed as a blue standard trail, with several black features, suitable for intermediate to advance mountain bike riders, with previous experience riding similar terrain. The trail is 28km long, with over 500m of climbing... so not all downhill unfortunately! Depending on a rider's skill level, it can take up to 3-5 hours to complete the single-track trail in full, possibly quicker for those on e-bikes or who have ridden the trail before. 

Due to the length, remoteness and terrain, we highly suggest packing spare tubes, a repair kit, plenty of water, some snacks and also additional clothing layers as the weather can change quickly up here in the alpine environment.
